All,

Just had a great day with my RE buddies, Bill, Josh.  Worked on the "Silver Bullet" and we did some riding... later met up with Mike.  I am planning a trip around the Olympic Penisula this summer and also invited them to join VME.  I want to extend to everyone who loves old bikes to come to the next VME meeting in Tacoma.  This Thursday night July 19th at the Mona Italian Restaurant, 6104 6th Ave, Tacoma at 7 PM.  Hope more of you can come... upcoming VME event is the Vashon TT.  Just when I got home my new VME friend called and reminded me there is a ride on the Olympic Penisula on July 22.  I thought this timing could not have been better.  I plan to take Fountleroy to Southworth Ferry, the ride ends in Gig Harbor, more info at the next VME meeting...

All,

Just a bit more info to wet your appeitite.  The ride this Sunday is for pre '75 bikes.  My friend rides a '77 Triumph, he said our new RE's would fit right in.  I am planning to be at the Ferry at 9:15 or 9:45.  He also has a friend you owns and rides a Old Brit RE.  Come to the meeting on Thursday for all the info...

HAY KIDS, WHAT TIME IS IT?  IT'S VINTAGE  MOTORCYCLE RACING AT THE FARM TIME!  :)
Saturday, August 11 (Trials)
Sunday, August 12 (Motocross)

We can meet Saturday morning at Vince's and rid out together.  I would like to leave Vince's no later than 9AM.  It's a nice ride from Vince's to the Farm, or if you like we can meet at the Farm, I'll be in the Peanut Gallery.  Watch the Vintage Observed Trials Saturday, stay the night, if you like, and Sunday, watch the Vintage Motocross.  There is a $10 cover charge per person for the weekend, but no charge for camping.  A good time is guaranteed for all.  I'll be camping overnight Saturday.

In addition to the aforementioned free camping there is lodging, shopping and restaurants in town three miles away and an outlet mall a couple exits up the freeway in Centralia. There are a couple nice parks on the rivers in the area.
Lewis county also has plenty of nice back roads to ride too ;)

I know its a long way for many ( U-Haul trailers are cheap  ;) ;) ) but it is a good opportunity to hang out and/ or ride together as well as see some rare vintage and antique motorcycles.

So on Monday 4 of us met up in Wileson...

Then we rode a short distance up to Carbonado for lunch...

Checking out there backyard for our planned first annual RE ride stagging area...

Met with the friendly staff...

Stopped back in Wilkeson to check out the local Destillery...

Then we rode up and around Mt. Rainier...

My bet is on follow the guy with the map...
So we are planning a ride in the country coming soon this summer, not date is set yet.
