HELLO SEATTLE!

I met up with Damon at the VME meet in Georgetown last night and had a blast chatting Enfields.  I'll be rebuilding my 2001 Bullet 500 soon, and I picked his brain about which upgrades should be considered 'essential".

I also asked about the forum and he pointed me to this thread- so here I am!  I f--king love my Enfield... even though it died at like 3,000 miles  ;).  Its day of resurrection is close at hand, however, especially since I found the forum, met Damon, and have started typing on this thread.

Here's a link to my post about my motorcycles, including the UCE Bullet that had the gin company's vinyl wrap from Backfire:  https://forum.classicmotorworks.com/index.php/topic,22147.msg249393.html#msg249393
I'm active on the MB5 forum, if you're interested in checking out my current build, see: http://www.mb5web.com/forum/index.php?topic=285 .

I've only met 3 other Enfield owners in all my years, so I look forward to interacting with ya'll online, and also in person as time goes on.

Well yeah this spring I met Amanda at a party at the Cretins clubhouse and she told me about this year's Enfield event... and I was all excited, right?  So then its the day of the meet at the saloon and I called the barkeep just to double-check it was going down... and she's like "Well there aren't a bunch of motorcycles here today, but there were a bunch of old bikes in last weekend ".  So anyway, thanks for the date, this time its going in my calendar accurately!

Any of y'all Scandinavian?  My wife and sister in law are so we'll be heading to the Nordic Heritage Museum on Saturday November 21st for Julefest.  If any of you will be there, let me know :)

They do a 'Viking Days' festival in late summer too.  And it's a great museum any time of year.

Hey just putting this out there. Do any of my Seattle area RE brothers and sisters have any used front wheels?
Say you decided to convert to disc brake and have your old drum front wheel and are willing to part with it?
I'm restoring my 1965 RE Interceptor and want to convert from the stock single leading shoe to the Indian Twin Leading shoe.

Thanks,
 Damon

Hey Damon, I didn't know you had an Interceptor!  That's going to be very cool when finished.  Any predictions as to when it will be on the road?

I got the Interceptor in September. It is a 1965 series 1. It only has 7900 miles on it but had sat against a barn since 1998. It needs a complete restoration.
All the engine parts arrive this week so I can get the bottom end together. The barrels and oversize Pistons are down at my Uncles shop so he can bore them to fit.
I got the bike from him in about 5 boxes of parts. I don't think I'll have it on the road until next year. I have a lot of work to do and parts to acquire.

The attention to detail, and perseverance that I know went into your continental tells me that this precious jewel is in the right hands.  What a cool bike!  I can't wait to see it one day.
