Any one else notice the egg shape cases on the C5, they look alot like the unit 650 BSA of years gone by. My first streetbike was a 71 lightning 650 after a beer or 3 the bottom end of the C5 looks alot like it!  At least the BSA had a kicker and room for gearing changes...worst vibrating bike i ever owned, but it sounded great with those shorty mufflers... :)

There is a similarity to the BSA unit engines.

Alot of the styling cues for the C5 came from the 1956 Royal Enfield Clipper 250.

And some of the styling cues for the engine cases came off the later Royal Enfield Continental or Crusader or Clipper 250cc unit-engined machines.

That's because BSA Copied Royal Enfield! I still miss my '69 Thunderbolt, they did sound sweet.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.
