The guy I went to India with to buy our 2 Royal Enfeilds died this morning with head injuries from being wiped off his bicycle.

I suppose there will be an RE for sale here soon.

He died at 3am this morning and being cremated in 1 hour --I cant even get there in time.

His 71 year old girl friend says thats what the man wanted ,--to be burned by 5pm the next day.   I didnt know that he wanted that and I had enough time to talk to him. He was late 60"s

He was booked to fly to Germany on Monday to pick up his 1100 beemer with his girlfriend and tour Europe as he did every year.

Knowing Leslie I think she will walk away from the bike and leave it in the car park forever, and the beemer too,-- she will probably give everything away.  Maybe even his yacht here in the marina  38foot Swan.

I spoke to her on the phone an hour ago  she is not staying here in Langwai and knowing Leslie she will give the lot away and return to he family in Australia.ASAP

He was'nt a forum type person but he would come here and have a laugh sometimes

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.  That has to be a rough one.
It would be nice to sell his RE off, knowing it's going to a good home.

Regards, stipa

Sorry to hear about your friend Clamp, very sorry.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Ahh its ok guys --I went to his wake last night and well--Im still pissed this morning.   Lots of littel things to eat and loads of beer in a cooler. Being a bit of as silly twat I dived down in the cooler up to my shoulders,   some people were shocked at my antics but then thats me--ive always been a bit of a silly bugger.

Im sure Roy would have had a laugh.

Still don't know whats happening to the RE though

Sounds like the proper way to send off a good friend to me.
Watch out for the guy behind the guy in front of you

Sorry to hear of your loss Clamp, but way to send him off!

I want everybody to celebrate my death, I love it here, but I hate all the bad stuff goin on in the world and I know that wherever I go it will be better than this!

Clamp, just read this thread. I am saddened  to hear of your loss.  I agree with Soa, he's probably in a better place. No doubt he is among friends and some wonderful vintage English iron.  cochi
