I have greased the gearbox using the nipples on the outside of the box, I have also put in 90 gear oil. Is this ok or should I only use one or the other?
I know the box is prone to leaking if I don't upgrade it with a seal but so far not too much is coming out and I'm prepared to keep it topped up.
If I use grease How often should I do it? and do I have to take off the cover to do a proper job?

I use 90w140 in an early 99, it doesn't seem to leak at all. The clutch nipple only needs a squirt once a year.
