I have opened it a time or two Mattsz... since tearing engine down for high compression piston, ported head, new valve train...then going back in to install Hitchcocks cams which unbeknownst to me were defective,  :o (early prototypes, H now selling good ones) had them in and out 3 times, put stock cams back in, replaced those with a set GHG custom made for me, having ring seating issues for which I removed piston again, (may have had upside down compression ring), and multiple re-adjustments of the adjustable pushrods... Putting bike back together and riding between each occurance...other than that, probably not any more than the typical person.   ::) :)

Why do you ask?  ???

Because "normally" it isn't really necessary to open it at all - but now I'm reminded that your engine is far from "normal"!   8)

Put the orginal speedometer back into my 2012 C5. Previous said it went bad so he replace it with an inproper one.
I did oil the speedometer and the drive cable and it works just fine.

Any chance of a link as to where you located the rev counter and is it reading correct revs. Thanks

I went for my first March ride! I did one in January and one in Feb. Today was 47 and sunny so I rode over to Starbucks for some beans, maybe 12 miles away, and back, of course........and loved every minute of it. Used my new saddlebag for the first time too, instead of my usual back pack.

Pulled single seat off my C5. Vinyl has come un-glued from the bottom, at the back.

Does anyone know what glue is best for putting this back on?

Same happened to mine.  I tried contact glue which didn't really work too well.

I ended up with some edge trim applied with a rubber mallet.  This is from an Australian hardware chain.

Working well so far

OK, if contact cement is not good enough, I would use polyurethane adhesive, such as Liquid Nails or Gorilla Glue. They must sell something like this in every country. Here is a link for one product.
