What he didn't mention is that we met up while there. We only got to speak for a few minutes because we were with separate groups, but still, it's nice to be able to meet a fellow RE rider. Maybe next time I will get the chance to see that monster.

I dropped the ball on that one.     ::)    I was actually thinking while I was driving to my job interview how I needed to update that piece of info.  I was pretty exhausted last night.  I honestly haven't even really looked at all the video I took either.  I will do that today.  Tho we only chatted for a few minutes because of the reasons stated, Krimp seems like a really cool guy.  I'm pretty sure we will be doing some rides together in the future.  :)

I'm already planning a ride up Independence Pass (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8MXMtRd8qA minutes 2 to 4 are the pucker part, just look to the left side of the video) or Pikes Peak (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTiTPAusog4 I certainly won't be going that fast.)

Hey Scottie , off topic , but how's the build going?

Just waiting for the heads to get finished and need to have custom rods built.  As far as building an actual Bonneville bike, that frame is on the back burner now as I just haven't had time to work on it.  Once I have all of the engine parts in hand, I will build the motor and install it in the Blackhawk like I originally wanted to do when I was just looking for a motor.  THEN I will rebuild the old motor the same way.  Have 1 supercharged and 1 NA high compression.   :)

Nothing.  :-[

Waiting for new rear sprocket to wend its way across the Pacific. While I appreciate and enjoy the opportunity I now have to spend some commuting time on my dad's F700GS, I must say that I miss Tonks on my commute. I alternate at times between envy and satisfaction when riding the F700. Mostly, I love the taut handling and GO THERE NOW! passing power of the F700, but I have to say my commute is made somewhat more boring at the same speeds by the over-competence of the Bimmer. Also, it sounds roughly like a swarm of robot bees with a bout of bad flatulence.

Can't wait for the boat to get in with my part!!!!

Tonks has been parked at my parents' place where I left her to wait for her new sprocket and chain. Brought her home last night so she could repose in her own environs, and was happy she managed not to throw her chain on the way. After commuting all week last week on my dad's bike, it felt like coming home to be back in the saddle of the Enfield. Reminds me that I made an excellent choice for my purposes in purchasing the B5. Can't wait to get the new drivetrain parts in and installed, and get back to my daily rides with Tonks.

Got home from the tour today! Two years gone... Walked out to the shed, and took the sheet off Her, and just... Gave Her a hug. It' snice to be home, even if just for a short while - We have July off, then take the show over to Tokyo for a month, opening July 30th and playing the Orb by Shibuya Station for four weeks.

I'll get Her running tomorrow and go for a putt...

Welcome home Rigger!     :D

I went for a ride to a micro brewery not far from my home, Dry Dock in Aurora, CO,  and had a couple of great beers.  On my way home I stopped at the store and bought a massive rib eye steak to throw on the grill for my wife and myself.  While walking down an isle a customer looks at me and says "Don't you own an old Indian and go to Sonic a lot?"  I replied "Yeah, I have the '58 Indian."  "Man that is a beautiful bike."  That made my day.   :D
