I went out to the garage for a bit and came back inside to find these in my email already!
It's so cool that you are out there representin' with the genuine vintage 50s machine!
I love it!
I've been wanting to race professionally my entire life. I think I've finally found my calling riding on a genuine article of vintage racing history.
I had so much freaking fun! And the fact that I took 2nd place my first time
EVER racing on a track has got to say something. I've been thinking the last couple of days and I think once I get a bit more practice in the Hooligans class, I might start racing in the Vintage Open class. I'm pretty sure once I get the hang of sliding into the turns I'll be able to carry enough speed to exit the turns at the bottom of my torque curve peaking out at the entrance of the next turn. I need to get back on the track and start practicing!
OH! And what did I do to my Enfield today? I flogged it for 38 miles down the freeway at 80+mph trying to not be late for the condo showing! Only to find out it was at 4:30 not 3:30.
I spit quite a bit of oil out the breather (keep forgetting to order a duckbill
) but the Blackhawk didn't skip a beat! In fact I discovered I'm pretty sluggish in 4th gear until I hit about 75mph and then she takes off like a bat out of hell. I may or may not have Ton Up today, I have no clue as my speedo needle fell off the other day. But I do know it was one hell of a ride!
