In a winter without snow I made first pictures of blossoming trees today.

My saddlebags and EFI silencer came in the mail, so I geeked out for awhile over that. The saddlebags are a little smaller than I thought, but they should do what I need them to do.

Man, the temperature will be flirting with 40 next week... That might be my chance to start wrenching...

Yeah, well we're supposed to get 3"-5" of snow tonight.  53*F and sunny tomorrow.  Gotta love Denver.  :D

Been riding 'Curry' to and from work as my daily rider. *knocks on wood*  This bike is dependable and fun to bust around town on.  :-)

Replaced my old short megaphone with a wide-mouth dunstall replica today. It looks much better and the beat is both deeper and more mellow. Feeling more power in the mid-range now compared to the megaphone. Didn't fit straight on, had to mess around with the opening, widening it and using silicone in oder to slide it over the head.

I've got one of those already cut to size and repacked waiting for me to finish some other projects.

If that is the Dunstall Replica that has the 3 bolt in core, at the outlet end, it is possible to tune it, by hack-sawing off an end portion of the core.

moved it out of the way to work on the Duc, finally got a new rear tire. I went with the Michelin pilot road 4 http://motorcycle.michelinman.com/tires/michelin-pilot-road-4

they didn't have the front instock so I had to order it and wait for that to come in.

That was an impressive stop at the end of the video they had posted on that page.  Full brakes on wet white paint without sliding?!  ABS or not, that's impressive.    :)

The Pilot Road is my favorite tire ever.  You can easily wheelie in the pouring rain.

They definitely have more siping than I've ever seen in any other bike tire.  I bet they're expensive too tho, huh.

I had the first gen with no sipes.  It seems they get more of them with every version.  They're not cheap but they're certainly not the most expensive tires out there either, comparable to what you'd pay for a decent tire from anyone else.  They tend to have neutral handling, stick well in the dry, and stick amazingly well in the wet.  I live in Portland, OR so wet weather handling is one of the biggest things I look for in any tire.  If you think they seem expensive see how much it costs to dump a bike in the rain ;)
