As we are having a Snow/Ice Storm of "Historic Proportions" here in Dixie, I had to go out the lower level basement/garage door of the house to take out the trash. Since I was wearing a parka anyway, I stopped in the cold Garage to sit on my G5 Deluxe awhile, & make motoring noises.
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

Weather has cooperated nicely the last few days!
Been riding to work and with the clock at 1775 she's smoothed out noticeably. A real pleasure this morning!  :)

I cannot afford the RE cafe racer yet so I build my alternative from a 150cc CG made in China. The bike new is about $700 US and I spend about another $400.

Got the coolest package today!  I ordered an engine gasket set from India on eBay.  It arrived today, wrapped and hand stitched in muslin!  It looks so cool I don't want to open it.

You'll have to check with its family to be sure its OK to marry it, before you break that seal.....

Really, you have to order it again from another vendor and keep this to cherish. It's art.  ;)

The bracket holding the regulator rectifier in place under the seat of my C5 has just snapped from the frame and the unit is simply resting in between the frame, mudguard and battery case.
Anyone else have this problem? How'd you fix it?
Will likely take it to the dealer to spot weld the bracket back in place (warranty job) and I'll simply duct tape it to the frame in the meantime.
As long as it isn't dangling loose or work itself totally free!

Might need to make sure it's grounded

Ans zip ties are better than tape for something that gets hot.

All parts arrived and the bike now has the same set up as yours - excellent delivery from UK. Just waiting for the Oberon Streetfighter bar end mirrors to arrive this week to finish the initial tinkering.

Yeah it was Greenchilli.
As mentioned, you'll need the indicators too as they come separate.
Have to say though, Hitchcocks' service was spot on. A little pricey (British pounds conversion hurts!) but packaged and delivered to Australia within a week! Things take longer to get from Vic to WA than they did from the UK!
No reason that shouldn't apply to NZ too :)
