After removing the right hand side cover to make sure how the lock worked I decided to check the condition of my air filter.

Imagine my surprise when I removed it and discovered a large black widow spider sitting inside of it !!  :o

After a short battle, me with my Phillips screw driver using it as a lance and the spider with its poisonous fangs resulted in me 1, spider 0.  ;D

Of course not - why do you think they're called Black Widow spiders?!?

Oh, wait, you're from Australia...

LOL   ;D   My friend just found 3 black widows in his bedroom as he was cleaning making room for his new bed set.  Here's the scary part.....  They were behind his old head board.   UUUUGGGHHHH!!!!!

In their cities they've got these big brown arachnids that eat children!  I seen it on the inner net.

I rode to work, heavy fog, 48 deg, long johns and toasty warm. This is something i would have not done on my old Iron Barrel. Green B just got the job done. Second week in October here in Michigan, not much chance to ride soon :'( :'( :'(. I hope to do my first oil change this week end :) :) :). Ride safe brothers.

We took part in the Sunflower Rally today - a charity event organised by the M.O.T.H. MC. About a 1000 bikes on the 60 km mass ride. I was fantastic - a bit fast on the freeway; some of these superbikes really like to open it up. My military drew much attention and was very much liked - especially by the HD crowd. We also had a chance to fully open the throttle on the military airfield landing strip. I was surprised by the pulling power of the bullet - many smallish V twins could not keep up in acceleration.

I've owned a 2009 EFI bullet as a first motorcycle for two whole weeks now. Today I got to learn how to inspect and replace the battery and spark plug, but the bike still won't start  :-[

Did you inspect and replace the ground wire? What do you mean, "It won't start?" It won't turn ever? It turns over, but it won't fire? It'll fire, but won't keep running? My man, you leave us with too many options. This is a question that should live in its own thread!
