Hey, D the D,Glad to hear you're OK. Getting run over does kinda suck. ATTGATT should be the byword, But, I'm as guilty as anyone about ignoring that myself. Fortunately I usually land someplace where I have armor, like my wallet! I did buy some AlpineStar SMX-1 boots a couple of weeks ago. Kinda like high sneakers with a bit of armor in them and ankle protection. They're less hassle than full size boots and lighter and quite comfortable to walk around in. Zippered sides. No laces. And even lightly vented. I can feel the airflow through them.Bare
Thanks Bare! Glad you wear some protection.I have a Mesh Summer jacket and lightweight Summer boots similar to yours. The jacket has zippers for breathers front and back, armor in the elbows, shoulders and back, and a separate rain liner. Can't tell it's mesh or armored except up close. It actually gets chilly riding below 70*F without the liner in it. Protection doesn't have to be heavy, clunky and ugly. The helmet literally saved the skin of my nose. Big scratches where the chin hit the ground. Guess I'm getting a new jacket and helmet from the insurance company since policy is if it hit the ground, it's trash.Ride defensively ladies and gentlemen. Dennis
