A better picture.
The pocket has in- and outer velcro. It can be attached to an item or wrapped around fe strap of a backpack/camelpack or in this case the bar.

This last weekend, I adjusted the chain on both my G5, and my old DR250s.  Both have snail cams, but the DR is a 15 minute job with only one nut to loosen and tighten, while the G5 took over an hour, and moving each adjuster one notch resulted in a slightly misadjusted rear wheel.  I love snail cams when they are designed right, and I would have no problem with the ones on the enfield if the only issue was that the cams read different settings. It is the complexity of the adjustment process, and the difficulty of getting everything back together just right that bugs me.  oh well I am sure it will get easier as I get more used to the process.
On a positive note, the enfield has been beating out my DR in fuel economy (RE 65-72, DR 60-65), and the RE is much more comfortable, and actually enjoyable to sit on for more than 5 min.

Just broke 900 miles on the clock this morning. Since my street will be re-paved over the next two days , a perfect time to do an early oil change, and clean and polish. She's really smoothed out and I'm getting the hang of using the bi starter to kick start her.  :)

Hi, just wondering how cold it is that you have to use the bi starter. We had a (too) long cold winter and I had only to use it a couple of times with temps in the 20's Fahrenheit.

My NATIONAL CYCLE Deflector Screen DX was delivered late this afternoon.  I am in the process of installing it this evening but will probably do the final placement tomorrow when I have more light.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how small it is; sometimes it's hard to tell by the published pictures till you hold the actual windscreen up to the bike.

Actually happened yesterday, but I got my new tires! 110/90-19 shinko 705's front and rear.  only a few miles on them, but the bike is already feeling better in the corners. Nice aggressive look too :D

correction: the 705's are 110/80 not 110/90.  The front just barley fits in the fender, but they handle nice.

Put 300 miles on the clock today running between Minneapolis and St. Paul. Time for that first oil change!

I hear there will be gobs of metal shavings and a smoother engine on the other side. Something to look forward to!

If you do it yourself, remember to rock the bike side-to-side or you won't get but half of the old oil out.

Changed the spark plug and spark plug cap with NGK brand, what a surprise to me, no more cutoff at idle, no more back firing, no more abrupt throttle, no more cursing when all that happen, can't be more happy with only $14 spend.   ;D ;D

oil/filter change cleaned, pulled wheels off in motorcycle workshop carpark to install new tyres...installed the new steel speedo gear on front wheel, raised the muffler a bit.

Just a little trial and error --

I kept getting the rubber sole of my right riding boot too close to the exhaust pipe when stepping on the rear brake pedal.

I decided to try adjusting the brake rod adjusting nut a couple of turns (clockwise) to see if that helps.  I felt absolutely no brake drag when turning the wheel while in neutral and on the center stand.

I may need to repeat after I check the results.
