Well, I did the deed today. I'm signing my baby over to the insurance company. They basically offered me a $900 buyback, but then I would have to screw with a Salvage title. So I decided to let it go and use what's left for a good down payment on a Cafe Racer. I will miss it!

Won't they let you keep even the flyscreen?

Damn bare, that was a sweet bike, I'm sorry for you loss.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

The CR will be the bike you were shaping that G5 into.  And with 33% more up to boot!

I thought about it, but I didn't even ask. If I were to have taken the old one back, I probably would have. The Plexi screen survived, but the mounting ring was trashed. That would've been OK since I have another one.
Damn, I look good on that thing!

Don't.

However... if Gremlin was out there installing that stuff, I'd say you're done, Scott!  I've got temps of 3 deg F this morning, and I ain't gonna work on my bike either, so I guess it's the Scarlet "S" for all of us!

Absolutely nothing, first real cold day yesterday.  Winter has arrived but we've been lucky as it came in late..I don't blame anyone for not working outside in those temps (unless u have to)..I'm gonna order the two rubber carb intake hoses for my 06 iron from our sponsor..Í like to replace the 1/4" gasket that mounts to the intake. I know Hitchcocks sells them in various depths. I never seen them advertised by CMW...Might be a item that they just don't list...GM

Wished it wasn't so dang cold here. Plus 5f, bike sitting all toasty warm in a classic car service shop for the season. It has its own room, all snuggled beside some triumph spitfire hoods. I miss the feel of the open road.... :-(

Put a CRG mirror on the left side of the bike a couple weeks ago. Actually had a chance to ride the bike here in chicago right after i did it and realized one on the right would be nice too so thats whats i did today! Now i got good vision on both sides

Being wet and relatively warm I actually rode to work today.  Probably the first ride in nearly two months and it felt great!  A little chilly on the freeway, I'll probably take the scenic route home.

Just a side note, the mileage I got over the last 11,500 miles averaged 69.58 mpg.
