I gave the shop a day to think it over and didn't hear a word, so I decided to just let it go. I gave my insurance company the power of attorney and they had the cash in my account the same day. It will go to auction somewhere in the Yipsilanti/Ann Arbor, Michigan area at some point in the near future, if anyone's interested I tracking it down.

I will add, and I hope that it doesn't violate any of the sites rules, that I do have some of the takeoff parts available. Rear Seat, Fenders & Supports, Headlight Assy, all the Toolboxs, K&N, Bars & Weights, Full Exhaust, 18T, Pegs/Mirrors/Cables/Oil Filters, ect., ect.. You can contact me privately if your interested in any of it. It's all still new, and I have pics if you need them.

It's interesting, but I'm just stretched way too thin at the moment with all the projects I have going on.

Yeah they must have wired it, lol, it even surprised me. I don't know what's next, I'm a firearms enthusiast, so I may just go on a shopping spree this winter. I may look into something with two wheels when the weather turns friendly again.

Went for a 160 mile putt up and around Angeles National Forest . Ran into a parade of Harley's holding up a bunch of cars and even a water truck. What a bunch of @#%holes. Picked them off one and two at a time then had the twisties to myself. Don't they know they were riding in Enfield country ? The road was in great shape and the new Avons worked better then expected. Now I need to do something about my dead battery. Not use to having to kick it ! Got an AGM coming next week. I got 13 months out of the stock battery. I feel lucky.
I would much rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow    Jack

31 degrees (fahrenheit) this morning - slapped some insulated coveralls on and rode to work.  I don't think I'd want to go further than my 9 mile commute in these temps without better gear, but I can't quit yet - I just can't.  Maybe a clamp-on windscreen?  I saw a thread about that here somewhere...

Yet another in a continuing series of days waiting to hear my Fiona's repairs are completed...  At this rate, I may be home from the tour before she gets back from the dealership. It's only been, what, twelve weeks? Thirteen, maybe?

The dealership claims they're waiting for parts from Enfield USA... The insurance company is saying they won't release a check 'til the repairs are completed. Meanwhile, here I am, out on tour and unable to get in anyone's face...  This week and next in Boston, then three weeks in Washington DC.

I miss my bike. :'(

^ Dayum. They are surely slacking as you are away on tour, unless they really haven't received the parts..

For myself, I had the front disc brake squealing for the past 3-ish months whenever I applied it and only with about 4000 miles. As it wasn't the 'worn-out-disc-pad' squeak, I had been delaying this  ::)

However, today I decided to pull off the caliper and look at the brake pads. Barely worn out. So I sand-papered their damn face and put them back on. Then went for a ride to 'bleed-in' the brake, and had no more squeaking. Woooo

Since it rained last night it's expected to be clear today and in the 80's.  I'm heading out to ride the bike to church, a nice 20 mile trip.
