OK! Final personal verdict for the EJK at Dobeck base settings!
Put about 40miles on it today, mostly Freeway. The posted limit is 65mph/105kmh, but everyone in Albuquerque generally does about 10mph/8kmh over the limit. My mode on the bike was always 60mph/95kmh on back roads and the freeway. Average speed today (on the Freeway) was 65-70mph/105-115kmh, and I still had headroom! No problems passing many of the cagers! At one point I was trying to merge left and some dummy decided that when I slowed to let him pass he would slow down, too. So I rolled on full throttle and zipped right by him and able to merge with plenty of throttle to spare. At one point I took it up to 75mph/120kmh for a couple of miles. NO complaints from the bike, but I figured I'd better treat her nice so I backed off to 65mph/105kmh and stayed there for a good while.
All gears: Good acceleration and cruise, even in 5th. I noted that even in 5th gear applying full throttle felt excellent. Much better than stock with the Stage 1 system!
After about 30 miles I did note some minor after-fire when I chopped the throttle, but I'm sure that can be adjusted out with my Gen3.5 EJK.
For the investment I think I've received my money's worth!
Good on Kevin for including it in the CMW inventory!
