Someone pinched my damn Oberon streetfighter bar end mirrors while my bike was parked up at a shopping centre..wtf!

Luckily I still have the stock mickey mouse ears, but they look damn hideous on my custom handlebars.
I do get a good view of my shoulders though...

i took the blue c5 out today -first time in 3 weeks. yesterday I did a very quick run in the mx5 turbo which I thought was pretty good. it hold its own with v8 power with a bit over 5 seconds to 60 mph
but compared to the bike on today's 20 mile run - the turbo car is a long way off the thrill of riding a bike. :D
one has sheer power and the other sheer enjoyment ;D

Put a pair of Dunlop K70's and set of Hagons on the G5 for she who makes the delicious baked goods.
No matter where you go, there, you are.

In a previous post I was advised to get natural rubber inner Tubes to go in my new K70s, such as Bike Master brand.

Bike Master is made of butyl rubber, and another brand I've been offered is IRC which are made from a blend of natural and butyl rubber.

Is butyl rubber natural, and what is the IRC blend?

I have no idea what the IRC blend is and the only thing I can see on the net dealing with those letters is International Rubber Conference.

Butyl rubber is a synthetic rubber created in the 1930's.
It is air tight and resists a number of fluids.

Oil, fuel oils and gasoline will cause a rapid breakdown of butyl rubber so keep it away from them.

Natural rubber is equally poor if it comes in contact with oil, fuel oil or gasoline.

The snow finally left, and the roads are mostly dry. It got up to 47 degrees today,so I rode 20 miles, and filled the tank on my 2013 B5. Found an Exon station that had no-alcohol premium. Felt great to ride again! Lynn

Took it out for a ride and discovered some of the mud that's been building over winter had reached critical mass.
It came back slightly lighter than when it went out. Not cleaner, just lighter.

I measured some stuff, and, poked the bear ......

is "poked the bear" a euphemism of some sort?  Or do you indeed have a bear .. that you poke?

Today in Glasgow it stopped raining, and the sun came out.  I had to google what 'sun' actually is since it has been a while since it was visible in our skies.

Anyway I had the day off, so I fired up "Electra" and headed for the country. Initially she was like a bear with a sore head (bears again), and a low speed misfire that finally cleared after about 10 minutes. The air temperature was low, but it was great to out and about. After an hour or so I headed home to thaw out, and plan a decent run for when we get a few days of dry weather forecast.

I envy you.  We've had an odd winter here, with occasional days, or even stretches of days, that were warm enough to go riding.  But the roads are such shit here, absolutely covered with chunky sand - like ball bearings - and salt.  Bad for me and the bike.  It's just not worth it... I'll wait until spring.  :(

Removed seat, gas tank, rocker covers. Used gasket goop to fill in gaps on the poor machining under the rocker cover seals. Replaced rocker covers. Now to wait 24 hrs for the goop to set. Hope this solves my leak issue.
