Apparently the cold weather up north has shut down this thread for the most part. Well, here north of the Equator and south of the Canal we've had good riding weather. Today, however, all I did was check oil as "Pico y Placa" means I couldn't run the bike between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.. No, don't ask my opinion of socialism. I try to avoid that kind of vocabulary.
On the other hand, yesterday I did get a chance to clean up some of the grime from last weeks long trip. Not much, but some. The bad news is, somewhere along the way I picked up some type of oil, probably from the areas where they were repairing road - and it was raining. Nasty stuff all over the place, but worst of all is the baked on junk on the exhaust pipe. What would take THAT off? Carb cleaner won't even touch it, although it cleans other parts of the bike just fine.
