OK I can see being on call. When I was in a On Call position we were required to stay within 25 miles of home. If we did get a call, rare, but the whole plant was stopped.

I have to be within a 1 hour response, and on weekends cover three bases. Two of them are 80 miles away.
I'll be glad when today's over.  :)

Fitted and tried out my new EMGO Cafe’ Muffler today, very free flowing.

picked it up off ebay for $26 including postage, came with 3 reducer sleeves and mount, but I used the original front muffler mount with a spacer to match.

What model and year do you have, my C5 has an ID of 41mm for the muffler?

Just updated Profile ;)
But bike is this years model B5 and the end of the downpipe measures 43mm. The Company still work with imperial stock so the ID for the inlet on the silencer will actually be 1&11/16"
Never underestimate the value of improved combustion efficiency and reducing parasitic engine and rolling chassis losses.

The Rumbler is at the dealer's place!  ;D Now to wait 'til they can get it shipped over here...  :-\

It's hard to wait, but time will pass (eventually)...  8)

Some idiot from IT dropped one right in front of the company safety spook  ::) and broke it, so now it's policy that we are not allowed to carry one on a motorcycle.

That's a drag. I have to take my work  laptop home with me as well. I managed to source an A4 pannier by Carradice that takes a laptop in soft-shell case nice and snuggly.  It migrates between my cycle pannier rack and my Electra pannier rack. The Carradice kit is well worth checking out - no moulded plastic here: just 'cotton duck' canvas, leather, aluminium, wood and clever fittings that fit a big range of racks.

http://www.carradice.co.uk/index.php?page_id=product&under=range&url=a4-pannier

Their cycle saddlebags and panniers are timeless. Also, anything breaks and you send it back to Carradice for repair, so <edit NO> built in obsolescence!

Nice ride, Matt! You do have some beautiful vistas in your part of the country! ;D
Glad you got a good ride in before the real cold sets in.

Nice road! Went for a 40 mile ride with a friend with a GT. Beautiful scenery
all 2 lane, and relaxing. We are having a beautiful fall in Montana! My b5 turned 2500 miles, and his GT turned 2000 miles.
