For the first time that I have owned my 2011 B5, I had to replace a bolt that had loosened and fallen off.  However, this was the muffler-hanging bolt and I had installed it without thread locker.  I corrected that little error with a new nylon-insert locking nut.  I then went around the bike to check for loose fasteners and couldn't find a single factory-installed bolt that was loose.  Someone was doing something right at the factory when my bike was manufactured.

Placed my order for a blue Rumbler 500. There are only four  dealers in the country so will have to wait 'til they can ship it to an affiliated bike shop here.  The countdown has begun!

I would like that headlamp, speedo and tach setup on the B5 AmBraCol. I wonder how hard (read $/£) that transformation is??

In other news, swingarm and bushes removed and tbh was expecting a nightmare but done within 50 mins. Just got to insert (with expected grief) the new ones now.

Had measurements taken for a straight through bottle type exhaust with a drain plug baffle for a more 'classic' sound. Should be ready next month.
RE in their wisdom have decided to increase the diameter of the down pipe by over a millimetre so the silencer from the older models wont fit.

I had found a store of old things and I thought it might be of some use.
It is made of brass and I painted glossy black, leaving the bottoms and using it to grease the chain.

What model and year do you have, my C5 has an ID of 41mm for the muffler?

That looks great, I love brass!  How does the oil dispensing work?  It looks like you open the valve and turn the jack screw? Or is it a pump?  Nice clamp.

Had a nice 120 mile ride breaking in a new modular helmet in 110 degree heat.  Ate the best chili cheese dog ever at Tom's Farm in Carona Ca.  Joined by four other riders aboard a Moto Guzzi, a Honda, a Norton, and a BSA.  We all suffered with the heat ~!

You can't ride because of company rules? I know at my work if you don't wear a helmet the insurance won't pay if you crash but I never heard of not being allowed to ride.

To clarify, since I'm required to have a company computer with me 24/7 while on duty (7 on, 7 off) I can't ride with a company pc.
Some idiot from IT dropped one right in front of the company safety spook  ::) and broke it, so now it's policy that we are not allowed to carry one on a motorcycle.
I have to wait until Wednesday evening after a pass-down briefing with my opposite before I can ride.  :(
Sucks, but I can't use my own PC due to the company firewall.
