Rear went flat on a 65-70mph run. Yes, the heart wobbled.

Now removed, ready for new tube, didn't get on with rim protectors as well as I did with tubeless tyres on cast wheels though.

Going to wire brush inside of wheels and maybe spray with a zinc primer before new rim tape as well.

3.25 tube for a 3.50 tyre? hmm. Anyway, anyone have good tyre soap alternatives or should I just get some. Don't fancy soapy water with chance of rusting spokes from inside.

Scottie J, I had also adjusted the chain the day before, I think I had a hole in the tube though and not where I may have pinched the tube on removal,  I had to rip the valve off the tube as the nut had rusted (and tight against rim) so didn't get chance to see the cause.

What with the speedo a couple of weeks ago, I'm not sure if the bike is testing my patience or just trying to bond with my toolkit!

Yes, garage is a mess (looks worse than it is) also quality Paint skills on the number plate lol

First time I changed a tire, I coated the tube with talc, but used Windex on the tire bead.  Second time, I just used the talc on everything - stayed dry, and worked a treat!  Stay away from corn starch powders, though...

On an unrelated note... why do people hide their number plates in photos?

+1  I too have been using Windex or a concentrated mix of water and car wash soap.  The talc powder inside the tire and coated around the tube is a must.

Installed the canvas front fork bag from Nfield gear.  I like the way it fits and looks.  Going for my first service in a couple of days.

Mr Mazza: Sorry you are sick! I rode 23 miles to check if tightening the muffler bolts at the engine cured the high pitch rattle,at some rpms, and it did!. Am almost at 700 miles.      Lynn

Rode to and from work... after about 4000+ miles of (mostly) behaving, my 2011 B5 has decided to begin, once again, stalling at idle with throttle, just like the GT complaints.  It did it after a couple minute warm up this afternoon, but it also did it this morning after riding 10 miles - fully warmed up...  >:(

I rode mine around a bit, still haven't broken the 300 mile mark. Time has not been my ally lately. But I did take my toolbox cover off only to find one bolt was MIA. I put some lock title on the remaining two. Now I guess I gotta go to lowes and pick up a new one.

Here in FL, I pulled my Miata out of the storage unit today, & only looked in passing at my G5 deluxe. Tomorrow I am going over there to put everything left in a smaller 10'x10' unit. While I'm there I hope to get in a good ride & to top up the battery. Still evicting insects & lizards from the bank owned (vacant 3 years) house we are buying. Many repairs are still needed to be ready. I will save gas running around in the Miata. The new place is in North Port, & I will probably wait until we move in to go riding. Not taking chances when between homes & hospitalization insurance plans.
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

Got mine back from the dealer after getting its 300 mile service and a hefty case of sticker shock.  Subsequently bought the oil change kit from Nfield gear. Thumper is purring like a kitten and finally I was able to ride the speed limit to work today.  Very excited.

+1. My friend has a nice red '90 with around 140k miles and hard top. I have been telling him for years that it is actually my car and when he is done with it he must give it "back" to me. This joke has been running long enough now that he gives me regular updates on the repairs and maintenance he does to "my car". Heck, he even consulted me on tire choice.....  ;D
