Got the new clutch cable on this morning, but it and other things foiled my time that was set aside for plug chops.  Too much traffic to do it where I had planned this morning.  Happy to say though, she sounds and runs great at the moment...

It's only uphill for a little bit!  Then the nice downward slope.   ;)   I really think the wind played a factor today.  It was blowing so hard that when I got over 55mph the camera started cutting the sound from so much wind noise.  Even if I didn't Ton-Up (yet :D ) the bike rides a lot nicer.  Not quite as quick, but still pulls good and hard.  I just can't get over how much better the bike shifts with the rebuilt clutch.  It's pretty damn nice.

Indeed, it sounds really good.
I'm quite interested too, really hope you get it to the ton. I wonder how that would feel on this bike.  8)

Scottie,
If you want The Ton, you need to gear the bike to hit 100 mph at your engine's peak horsepower rpm. That's how to do it.

Yeah, I know.  I just haven't gotten around to putting the bike on a dyno and I don't have a functioning tach, so I'm not sure where where the peak is at.   ???

Here's a audio clip that I put together today too.  Just cruising around the neighborhood.  ;D

I did this yesterday, but just now uploaded a photo. Replaced big stock muffler with small upturned cocktail shaker. I had it laying around in the garage and decided to use it.

That Cocktail Shaker is sexy on that GT!!!    8)

You know, if I had left the 18 tooth sprocket on there with the new clutch, I'm pretty sure I could stand the bike up.......    ;D     ::)

Finally rode the GREen B yesterday. Hasn't turned a wheel in 5 months! Yes, 5 months. I have never not ridden a bike for that length of time over winter, but as we all know, this was no normal winter. The GREen B started right up, a quick  check of lights and tires and off we went. No more Mosquito killing like my old Iron Barrel. 8)

Today I worked on leather made from an old bag.
I built a mold with wood and I put on the leather wet with alcohol.
I modeled the leather over the mold using the back of a spoon.

final result:

anchor with double-sided tape is exceptional.

Finally got 600 miles on the bike today. I spent the last 2 days and most of today riding it, giving it a rest break every 25-30 miles. I must be up to about $50 in McDonalds drinks, as I have been riding it from one McDonalds to another to let it rest a bit. I'm going to try and get it up to 1000 miles before it gets too hot here to enjoy riding in the daytime. Then for the next 6 months or so it will be mostly night riding and getting up at 3:00 AM and heading up into the mountains. No problems so far.
