Got rid of the OEM trafficators and installed a set of Bullet Turn Signals PN Z90457 w/the 2" stems. Definitely looks more better.  ;D

Looks really nice.  Did you use the lights with 2" stems both front and rear?

Same remark and question here.
I too prefer them closer to the frame and plan to do so too.

I used the ones with the 2" stems, PN Z90457. The front ones took no time at all. Most of the time on the rear units was spent debating whether to order or fabricate brackets, or direct-mount. Direct-mounting had some distinct advantages:
a) units mounted closer to the doghouse,
b) mount struck me as more solid than brackets
c) no exposed wiring,
d) it catered to my natural laziness  ;)

I've seen people mount the signals without built in extensions: flush up from and with some kind of bracket in the rear.

While the flush mounts will bolt to the stock brackets up front, they're tucked in very tight.  Out back you need a bracket of some kind to clear the plate panel and they never look great.  The 2" extensions look good front and back.  I may need to get me some of those :)

Installed a 280 main jet in my carb and also installed my new Super Bike bars.  Only got to ride down the road a bit but the throttle seems to be nice and torquey.  LOVE the stance of the new bars!  Much more aggressive and comfortable to my likings.  :D

I also like & use the superbike bars. they are very similar to what was used on the classic British bikes sold in the UK. They are very comfy for me also. the stock bars on my G5 Deluxe hurt my wrists & felt like holding hedge trimmers.
Best Wishes, Craig McClure

The bike looks great Scottie.  I like those bars too, I've have them on a few bikes.  Please don't take this the wrong way, but it's time to make that seat a winter project.  The rest of the bike is too pretty for that seat ;)

Any chance of a close up on how you mounted the tail light?  I've never seen one like that mounted high up before.

I have copies of the original manuals.  They must have changed the clearances later after they realized that .005 is too damn noisy

.005 was probably a typo

I was actually wanting to take care of the seat this or next weekend.  ;)    As for the taillight I just have it mounted between the fender and the fender stay.  I've grown to like it there but I kick it on occasion swinging my leg over.

I don't know bare.  My reprinted Interceptor manual calls for .005 on the exhaust as well.

I do like those mounted low on the swingarm, but then visibility from the other side is pretty bad.

Did 3 things today:

#1. Added a USB / Cigarette-lighter mount on Air-fly crash-bar (left): To charge my phone-cum-gps while riding:

#2. Battery gauge on Air-fly crash-bar (right):

#3. My favorite: Added a Brake-light LED kit to my helmet. Lights up when brake is enabled.

Wicked!  ;)

The synchronized brake light on the helmet is a novelty.
I can see the benefit, especially in the dark winter commute.

Picked up the new ride last Thursday (classic chrome in maroon).
This morning was my fist decent ride to start running her in.
Long semi-rural road, sun shining, dogs racing me along property fence lines, admiring looks, a couple of bugs hitting the goggles, the odd mistimed downshift.
The oft mentioned permagrin is here!
