Catbird, I'd love some details - what screen you've got, and how you've mounted it.  I have terrible wind-noise trouble with mine and I really wanna solve it...
mattsz -

If you refer to the thread "Which Windshield?", go to page 2 and look at the pics provided by wildbill.  This is the same one I have.  It has several ways to adjust it to suit your needs.  When I first installed it, I had it positioned at too much of an angle toward my chin from bottom to top.  I have now adjusted it reducing the angle to a more vertical position (maybe 80 degrees).  I plan on testing it later today to evaluate the improvement.

Thanks Catbird - I remember that thread (I posted in it myself).  Let us know if you manage to improve anything...

mattsz -

I took a test ride this afternoon, but the results were inconclusive. There may have been a small amount of improvement; it's very difficult to tell because my Nolan Trilogy helmet is so loud without earplugs.

This evening I removed the Laminar Lip from my Vespa scooter and installed it on the windscreen of my RE.  I'll give it a test run tomorrow.

Broke 1k miles yesterday and decided to change oils and filter for the pure hell of it. Of course everything looked great, but the mag plug did have a few slivers on it. I'm not gonna sweat it.
Looking through the garage and seeing the stock mirrors against the bright great outdoors I noted that it had a distinct "Disney-esque" look and decided to hop over to Cycle Gear for a set of bar end mirrors. Jerked to OEM ones and "voila!" not so Mickey Mouse anymore.  I like the bar ends.

Come on!  You know the rules.  You can't talk about an upgrade or mod and NOT post a pic!   ;)

Crossed the 1000 mile mark.  More oil filters arrived in the mail, so an oil change will get done soon.  I will most likely run full synthetic now. Has anyone tried to modify the stock filter cap to replicate the ez cap on NField Gear?

I left both REs in the garage.  Got 2" of rain last night, and more coming down today, and both bikes are clean and shiny.  I've no intention of messing up such beauty with road slop if I can help it. ;)

If your bike is a 2010 or newer it probably already has the new filter cap with the bolt holding the brass pressure relief plate and spring.

If the plate and spring shoot across the shop when you remove the cover you'll know you have the old style.

Here's a link to a post that has a picture of the modded filter cap
