This last weekend, I adjusted the chain on both my G5, and my old DR250s. Both have snail cams, but the DR is a 15 minute job with only one nut to loosen and tighten, while the G5 took over an hour, and moving each adjuster one notch resulted in a slightly misadjusted rear wheel. I love snail cams when they are designed right, and I would have no problem with the ones on the enfield if the only issue was that the cams read different settings. It is the complexity of the adjustment process, and the difficulty of getting everything back together just right that bugs me. oh well I am sure it will get easier as I get more used to the process.
On a positive note, the enfield has been beating out my DR in fuel economy (RE 65-72, DR 60-65), and the RE is much more comfortable, and actually enjoyable to sit on for more than 5 min.
