Rode to work for the first time in weeks!  It looks like the sun should be here all week.  Hooray!

In other news my custom shaped seat needs a lot of work but I'm happy with many aspects of how it came out.

Commuted, rode around the countryside two-up for fun, got gas, and went out to eat totaling about 115 miles today.

Just another day in the life of my commuting bullet.  ;D

Rode 400 miles (round trip) to have my bike serviced. Why so far? Fresno is a great dealer! They not only did a service and took care of my known warranty items, but discovered a potentially lethal problem! It seems (seams) my gas tank was leaking. Al told me that Kevin Mahoney had authorized that a new one be overnighted to Fresno. How's that for support? Still, I didn't want to spend the night in Fresno waiting for the FedEx truck. "No problem" says Al, "we'll just take a tank off a new bike and put the new tank on when it comes in." I can't think of ANY other dealer that would do that.

They also installed a new, sealed battery even though I didn't need a new one. When I asked about bar-end mirrors, Al called the customer he had loaned it to and he brought it!

Rode home a happy customer!

All of us are learning the new to us Enfields.
As long as dealers, riders, and the mothership work together, we all can take part in growing RE into a better motorcycle, and a better organization.
The Trident is a three pronged fighting weapon carried by some pretty tough Hombres, namely  Poseidon and Neptune.
We are each a part of a type of Trident with the customer, the dealer and RE North America all being a tine or prong of a strong weapon.
Our part, as the dealer, is to pay attention to what the bike needs now and make parts available. That includes fun parts and not so fun parts.
We employ good techs. Who do more than read a work order and replace parts. They notice smells, noises and other telltale things that even the owner might miss.
Kevin allows us to help customers in unheard of ways. He's not just a bean counter wringing his hands over a fed ex bill. He really wants happy dealers, and happy riders.
Tim and Doneen at RE have the same helpful mindset. That's the good stuff.

Just got back from a weekend at Cadwell Park race circuit in Lincolnshire. Checked my mpg when I filled up today - would you believe 90.45 m.p.g.? (U.K. gallons) A great ride both ways, about 220 miles in fantastic sunny weather!!! :)
