I said my C5 gets 65 mpg easy, that's when I'm playing hard in the hills, when I'm riding like an adult with a brain (hard for me) I get an easy 75mpg out of it. :D
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

33 kilometres to the litre (4.54 litres to the imperial gallon)
Got to be happy with that.

Cheers :)

My '08 iron barrel consistantly gets 62-63mpg (US gals) no matter what I do -- putter, or run at 55-65 (It doesn't like the higher number there 'cause it starts weeping oil out of the cylinder head... like saying, "Slow down, fool and get on a back road that you and I both like!"  REs forever!  Once you get used to the quirks, ya can't live without 'em, and the gas mileage price is RIGHT too!   :D

I'm with ya. My favorites were the XL1200R, the XL883R, and then the XL883 (like I have). I do like the XR1200 that came out in Europe first, but I'm hearing rumors that it will be dropped too. That will leave us with the Nightser,Iron,48,XL1200C,XL1200L and I think the XL883L.
How about something along these lines:

But built in house at HD using an XL engine and not at $20,000.00? Something that goes well, handles and stops.

Harley is keeping the XR1200 and adding another XR model to the line, the XR1200x which has an upgraded suspension.

Yep. Shortly after I wrote that I read that they are not dropping the XR1200 bike and about the new XR1200X. I have also admired the Waken motorcycle since I spied them on the internet.
