If anyone sees my heatshield along the A380 to Torquay, do pick it up and give me a call. I was doing seventy, I heard a light sort of TINK, I thought, "bugger, what was that? Better check for missing nuts and screws." Stopped in Sainsburys car park to have a look  -  YIKES!  - exhaust heatshield gone!  I rode twice along the same route, slowly, but couldn't see it. Hopefully it'll be covered under the warranty.

Pretty shaky at seventy, these bikes........

Spent all morning cleaning and polishing too.

I was about to loose the heat shield on mine twice but luckily booth the times I checked the screw before it was too late. Use spring washer between the screw and heat shield for next time.

Try 85 and see how shaky it can get.

85?!  Good Grief!  I touched 80 last week but I really wouldn't want to do it for long  -  or ever again for that matter....  Waaay too shaky.
But yep  -  spring washers was already on the to-do list when one of the top heat shield screws vanished last week. I did tighten the others in the meantime - even bought a set of Torx tools for the purpose. Ah well.....

I'll be out there later checking EVERYTHING for tightness.
