I rode around for 100 miles and got to work an hour late on a quest for topiaries and nothing. I know where there are some dinosaur topiaries but it's over an hour away. I googled topiary and didn't come up with anything in my area but there's some good ones on mission hill in san diego.  Where's Roger the shrubber when you need him?

That's the one I as referring to. Those contraptions out in the oil fields look just like that bird! Actually they are the pumps that suck the oil out of the ground.

Ok, after several days searching, I finally found some really crappy topiary.
I guess the whole thing is supposed to be a dragon or Loch Ness monster or maybe an earthworm. It's in front of some motel by Disneyland.
