The paint on the new military looks like it is finished 'matte'. Is that so? It also looks very very dark, significantly darker at least in this picture (http://www.enfieldmotorcycles.com/models/military-c5.html) than the typical military green. I kind of like it, but cant help but wonder if photography lighting has contributed to the dark tone.

They are not that dark in person. The lighting on the newer advertisements is real dark for some reason.  The attached picture isn't in full sun light.

That's stil waaaay darker than the older paint color on the military, as i remember.  Still looks good, but not quite right, to me....

I could be mistaken, though.

I believe there are 2 olive drab paints currently available the newest version is the battle green.. it almost looks black.  The one in the picture is very close to the color of my'07 mailitary.

Br. Westie, I have seen the new Military model.  Your photo above does capture the new color very well.
Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

The '07 actually looks way more "authentic" to me.  It seems MORE green (less dark olive).  Also having the extra green color on the engine case make it look a lot more "military like".

I really favor the THICKER knees pads on the older "07 too!

Of course I would love to own EITHER...LOL! ;D
