People usually try to make their W650s look like Trimups but I've never seen one changed to look like an RE. tinyurl.com/2cakqxq

There's an old guy who posts on here, I think his name is Uncle Ornery who has an AVL who tried to make it look like his W650. Scary what people do when they get older. :'(

Mr leonard, if that's a link up there- it doesn't work.  I would love to see what you're talking about.

Mr Whealtor- you seem to know some real crack pots.  I would have thought the best folks in Oldpeopleville could manage is golf carts and Urals.

(BTW- I'm putting my stock tank and seat on...)

(Just for the ding-dong ride to Hiawassee)

Well alrighty then!
That sure is an attractive front wheel and seat.

That reminds me- does anyone know if RE will ever bring out a parallel twin (Interceptor) again?  I know at lest one person ready to buy.

Well, "ever" is a pretty long time. I don't think they'll do it anytime soon, though. They'd have to compete with the Japanese on that front, and I'm not sure RE is ready for that just yet. It'd sure be neat if they did, though, and I'd definitely be in line.

In the meanwhile, though, I guess we just have to content ourselves with swapping vintage twins into the Bullet frames. :)

I have a friend in Indy that has restored a couple of the original W1 & W2 650's,and also bought a W650 a few years back. He often displays all three bikes at shows, just to show the 'contrast'....While he enjoys the W650,it certainly doesn't have much in common
with the original that it is(was) supposed to remind someone of....well,both are vertical twins,so there ya have it.....Apparently that was enough for KHI to produce 'em....
