My head is lapped, my barrel and piston are back on so I got the time to pop out the valves this morning and figured I could do a quick cleaning, grind out any high spots in the ports and reassemble. No chance, I found a broken inner valve spring on my exhaust. I also found that my bike had been put together with no spring seat under the exhaust valve. You can see in the pic how the spring had been hanging over and worn grooveswhere it rested as well as on each side where it was hanging down....hopefully I can get parts within a couple weeks.
