I'm sure I'm just one of many on this forum.   :(
Saw it coming, just wasn't sure how deep the cuts were going to be, or if it included me! 50% in the shop and 30% in engineering (anyone want to hire a mechanical drafter in Denver?)
I know, more time to ride, but my new job for now is looking for work.
The better half and I should be OK, hopefully I'll never have to even think of selling the Bullet.
Not looking for any sympathy, just needed to vent a bit.

Thanks

Sorry to here that, hang in there brother..

Last summer my wife lost her job and we were supper hurting for money with the forclosure specter looming.  Took her about 5 months but she found a new one that was better and the entire thing made us wake up and get serious about clearing out our debt..

It sucks all over...

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. Keep your chin up, this too shall pass.
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Been 11 months and 4 days for me. First extension is over next week. Now, I have an interview Monday. So I know your pain. The numbers are now nearing 1/2 million new claimers weekly. And considering the unemployed, under-employed and those who have stopped looking for work, it is said by some economists, that the true unemployment rate is approaching 20%.

And the recession is over?

Sorry to hear that my friend. My wife's realty work has tanked and with two boys still in school I'm having to kick it up to make the difference. Just glad to have anything in these times though. Best of luck and hang in there. I for one am going down fighting.

I did two temporary layoffs totaling 2 1/2 months. I actually volunteered for the last month off. Some of the other guys have little kids, and mine are all grown up.Plus, my wife made up some of it. I was off the last half of Octoberr and all of November, and all of January.I haven't had time off like that since summer vacation when I was a kid.

Keep it. Mine saves me between $1,000 and $3,000 in fuel.

Might be time to check into all the money that everyone talks about being available for schooling.  I know lots of my partners are in tech school training for new careers.  Good Luck.

Sorry to hear that daves02ES  :-[  been there done that last year.

The tax returns and financial aid they give for people returning to school is good.  I make more money just being a student than I do working full time on the side.  (of course I wait tables so that's not saying much but still  :P ) 2/3 of my income is all from school scholarships, aid, and returns.  Of course if you don't know how to milk it, you won't get much of that.  Luckily I am a milker...  8)

That last scholarship is why I have a bullet sitting in my garage.  Hey, it's school related, I'm learning lots!
