Maintenance -
1. Changed spark plug once.
2. Changed battery to Yuasa maintenance free.
3. Adjusted the chain once.
4. Tyre pressure 18-20 psi front and 24 psi rear.
5. Washed frequently with S100 Total Cycle Cleaner and polished with Original Spray Cleaner and Polish.
6. Lubed cables and hinges with WD40 or/and Maxima Chain / Cable Lube after each wash or as needed.

Oil and oil filter Change and Screen Cleaning -
I have purposely separated it from the Maintenance because of the history of my bike. This was one of the first units to arrive in US and its transmission parts did not have enough clearance. During the first few months, we were riding slowly to break the engine. We heard grinding noises from transmission and metallic particles were coming off into the oil and collecting on drain plug and screen. I did 4 oil changes in the first 1000 miles. I had used Yamalube motorcycle semi-synthetic 20w-50 oil.
Then these bikes were recalled by RE manufacturer and transmission was rebuilt with correct parts. Still there was larger than expected amounts of 'stuff' - combination of metal parts and excess sealant was dripping down in the transmission/engine that needed to be cleared and removed. Frequent oil change was the way to keep engine clean and safe. By then I had shifted to Motul semi-synthetic 15w-50 oil, except once when I used fully synthetic oil.
In total, 6 oil changes, filter changes, and screen cleanings in 5000 miles ! Since these early manufacturing problems of transmission have been fixed, you won't need so many oil changes. You may choose to follow the manufacturer's manual guidelines or your own intuition, or follow the recommendations of knowledgeable rider you trust.
In the end RE tells you what it wants, just listen and look for what it is saying ! And Keep on
