Gday from Tassie. Just been reading about  the reliability of the G5. I am looking (seriously) at getting one with an Inder sidecar. I would like to hear of ANY MAJOR problems that might have occured with the G5, not the niggley stuff like a wire off or a loose connector. Thanks in advance, Geoff

Hi Geoff welcome,

I'm in Nth Qld, I've had a G5 since september, great little bike, the only problem I had was of my own doing (Over filling the oil !!!) lost a bit out of the breather, other than that just start (Elct./kick) & go, nothing more.

Hi Geoff, G'day from WA. I've had my G5 for a couple of months now, just done over 500 kms, everything looking good. One early worry to notice some black oil seeping over the fins of the sump was unfounded when it was found to be a black oily grease used to lubricate the chain. The only items I've had to replace are the seat holding bolts, threads stripped, easy replacements as they're M6 20/25mm.
Visiting Tassie in 5 days, but in a hired Audi. Cheers Larry
