ah the old colo(u)rtune , as used in the UK for over 40 yrs !

going back 30 yrs they worked well on simple cars/bikes , HOWEVER , fuels have changed so much over the years (well at least in europe) , that they don,t work anymore!

don,t know the fuel in the US , and by all means try one , unfortunatly we struggle over here

works great on my 3 different brands of bikes. nothing else i know can benchmark. 90% of the time, i fuel at the same location, so not much changes

this tool is great: http://www.carbtune.co.uk/colortune.html

I used to see those in the J.C. Whitney catalogues when I was a kid.

i get the jc whitney motorcycle catalog. it can be lame. it has some cool stuff, but when i find something i really like, they don't carry it anymore. it's happened more than once. i have got a few decent things from them, though

I've still got one of those used to try and set up my Harley's with it never seemed to do much except let you check what it was doing at idle. The one I have is a good 30yrs old.   ERC

this is a new tool for me. i sorta thought it was for setting your mix at a slightly elevated idle. my L4 can be tricky, so the tool works ok for balancing all 4 mixes while synching. with the aftermarket 4-1 headers, i could stand bumping the mains up a fuzz, but she'll still try to give me whiplash going into 4th and 5th.   ;D    works pretty much the same on the v-twin, but both bikes have mikuni carbs.

speaking of cats, my indoor cat just became an outdoor cat today. he's been a little ass lately, so i'm giving him a taste of the other side
