Just got a good break in the weather. Dressed like a bear. Went for long ride. Paved pot holed wet roads, gravel roads( some melting snow).
Stops while I warm my hands on the engine jug. Now its time to pay up. I bought a gallon of WD-40 ($38.00)
Worth every penny I'm sure, ,,,now the massive wipe down , she was real pretty sitting clean in the bat cave this morning....sigh.

Don't forget a dab behind each ear.
Almost as good as Hoppes #9 for turning you into an irresistible hunk of manhood.

Nothing beats the dead sexy smell of a little Stoddard Solvent ...... Talk about manly! I'll bet Old Spice uses that as a "secret ingredient" .....  ::)

Glad to see there are other WD-40 believers among the brethren... I've preaching about this magical elixir for quite some time now... as for the Hoppes #9 cologne, we could say that it's great for the old barrel...
Long live the Bullets and those who ride them!

OK.  I've peaked this on some other threads here, but what is your process with the dub-D-40 (just adding to the different written versions).

Spray directly and wipe?  Spray rag and wipe?  Metal, plastic, and all?  Start with soap and water or just go whole-hog.

Also... YOU CAN GET IT IN GALLONS!?!  I"m imagining that little red straw it comes with being garden-hose sized.

REpozer,
Not many people get to ride their scoots during February in Alaska.
Its worth the WD40 expenditure just for the bragging rights.
Flint.

Mean while ,back at the Bat Cave..... WD-40 and many old rags....

For you , yes soap and water, for me since I live in a cut above barbaric conditions, I spray right on, then wipe with  a semi clean cotten rag. Its important for me to get some oil (Dub- dee ) on the bare aluminium  to keep electrolysis at bay .I do wash and wax the paint./ bike in the summer.

I must have done it wrong. Either the spraying on the rag or the wiping, it just did not work out for me. My bike became dirty and dusty when it had a layer of WD40. Now, cleaning grease and oil off... WOW it rocks there.

You'd still lose it under the work bench right away, then find three of them when you tidy the shed three months later.

Maybe get WD 40 in 100 gallon drums and dip the whole bike.

I was thinking of starting a new thread on how stay equipped with the essential little red tube from your WD40 can, but this one will do.

Here's some suggestions:

Make the red tubing available in 100 ft rolls that mount on your shed wall. Then you would never be without a fresh cut length.

Or, subscribe to a company that posts a tube out to you every day.

Has anybody managed to keep hold of the little red tube but lost the can of WD40?

 ;)
