interesting..  on a music like I visit.. they say tear it down,,  I wonder what the final outcome will be with the government..

I built an extension on my house 7 years ago without going through proper channels, that is to say paying someone in government to come out and tell me how to do my work.

Last time one came out was 19 years ago when I started building my dome.. I was on 3 tiers of scaffoling and saw this suited guy in the doorway.. he siad you're not finished, I said how many people you see? as I came from the top tier to the bottom in a heartbeat..  I said I have an extra hammer.. He siad well, uh , I'm the building inspector, here's my card, call us when you are through so we will know how to TAX you properly.. OK I said..

guess what>>> I'm stil not finished :D

  Good answer..here as long as it's interior no one has to look and say okay here's your permit.  Exterior is another consideration.  Some townships still aren't zoned..so there the sky is literally the limit.

Really sad.But,I must say,the fellow was aware all along he was going against the tide on this one,obviously.It seems he went looking for a fight,now he has one.Good luck to him,I like the structure,personally.

I just can't see why he spent so much effort and was willing to risk it all thinking he could get around the rules, why didn't he just go through the proper permitting process? I like it.
