As a second bike option, I'm looking at this 99 Triumph Trophy 900.  If you have any thoughts or intimate knowledge, I'd love to hear it.  This looks like a good deal, and I hear they made the earlier triples almost bulletproof.

Thanks for your time.

You might want to search reviews for that model in your web browser or find a forum on that bike and find out what the riders say. for that style, the kawi concours 14 and the guzzi norge both have great reviews all around

I don't think you could go wrong with ANY of those bikes, really .... I'd pick the style (bike) and go after the price you want. The lovely thing about modern bikes is that there is no real "BEST" - only "best for YOU!" .....  ;D

Well, never mind.  The bike sold an hour before I got to the Triumph shop!  Can you believe that?  It had been for sale since the Fall, and three people called today, and someone bought it!  Oh well.  Divine Intervention perhaps.

I think a touring bike bug has bitten me though...
