I should have my bike ready by the spring.
I hope.
That would be an area that I could do.

Couldn't we have it here in Missouri so I could make it?Just kidding. If we start planning now we oughta be able to do something by June?In Florida I stay at a state run campground that has really cheap cabins,$15-$25 a night. Is there anything like that in the smokies?

Probably, I'll start checking. Would you guys prefer a campground, cabins, motel? There are a number of motorcycle friendly lodges and such in this area. Good riding too.

Just a bit too far for me, then there's that water barrier thing to get over, so I'll follow with interest from down here.

Cheers  :(

The bullet probably won't be ready by then. My gs group has a ride booked in Red River Gorge, Ky for July and possibly something in Asheville for June. I'm thinking one of those this year. Maybe '11? How about a planning committee?  ::)

I grew up in Black Mountain and bought my first house right off Tunnel Rd, near the tunnel. For several years, i put on about 90k miles/yr fixing machines from Banner Elk to Rutherfordton to Highlands. Definitely some nice roads around those parts.
