A must watch video about the reunion of February, a P51 Mustang, and her pilot, WWII Ace Lt. Jim Brooks.  Your wood is wet if you don't think this is some kind of WOWZAA!!!

Enjoy:

OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks Cabo!
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

What a design the P51 was. Under conditions of urgent need, pure talent took it from design drawings to engineered metal in no time at all. Then, the retro-fit of a Rolls Royce engine fulfilled the potential of the airframe. We finished up with an aeroplane of transcendent form that still makes people gasp and stare when they see one flying.

Looks right, is right.

I don't think we can do that anymore. We think the stuff we are turning out,  with college cloned  engineers  and CAD/CAM,  is optimal but half the time it is duff but wearing fancy clothes.

Good one Cabo, thanks. But how does one get to his age and not weigh an ounce more than in his twenties?

Rest and RUST. My dear old Dad once told me that an old man and an old were a lot alike - you leave either one of 'em set too long and directly you are going to have to call a wrecker .... I'm guessing that old boy probably could still fly the Mustang - and do it as well as the pilots half his age. Go, man, GO!
Spare the pig iron - spoil the part!
