Anyone running the Dunlop K81 4.10 X 19s front & rear on a Bullet?

For the Triumph I am trying to decide between the K70 and K81. I'll be keeping the Avons on the Enfield until they wear out, unless a rich Uncle leaves me some money.

I had a 69 Suzuki 500. I liked it.

Sorry to swerve the thread a bit, but i also have a tire question.

I have mentioned my upcoming ridiculous road trip. And the fact that tires will be a necessary change before embarking. I had mostly settled on K70's for their quasi on road off road abilities. However, 3000 miles on the rear wheel has me getting a new tire just about the time I get to Fairbanks. Not good.

Does anyone have an opinion about a dual purpose tire that can get more in the 5-6k range for the rear? I'm not trail riding, but my paths will be gravel for about 800 miles, along with some primitive riding I'm sure. My friend has settled most likely settled on a klr650 for his ride. This bike has a dunlop K750, which appears to be a Kawasaki only tire. Is there a comparable that could fit enfields dual 19's?

Thanks so much. Safe riding to you all.

Call ahead to Fairbanks- Talk to George, owner of Trails End BMW ( RE dealer) ,Make an appointment to have your bike looked at ( you will probably need it by then) .Ask him if he has tires in stock to replace a K70, or trials or what ever parts you think you will need.
George comes highly recommended, don't make him mad, he might ask you to leave, he has a lot of work in the summer.

Oh I'm no tire expert, but most dual purpose tires are made of softer rubber to get more grip, everything has a compromise when asked to do more then one kind of job.

Br. Milk, I suggest you go with new OEM Avon Road Masters for your trip for their (a) long-mileage and (b) partial off-road capabilities.

A Very Merry Christmas and a Very Joyous and Prosperous New Year!
