While looking under exhaust on Ebay, I came across some graphite-type exhaust pipe wrap that you install using stainless clips to hold it on then, once on, it gets sprayed with a bonding/sealing agent that is supposed to protect it from abrasion and chemical spills.  Anyone used such a thing?  They claim that it allows increased exhaust temp at the head which facilitates exhaust flow and increases horsepower.

What's the scoop, anyone know?

I've used it on race headers. However mostly to prevent the most horrible, instant 3rd degree burns imaginable from touching a hot header. Only helps a bit.
