Is it correct that the UCE engine generates higher hp, has better acceleration and higher cruising speed?

yes yes yes.

Add longer lifespan before rebuild, much lower maintenance requirements, and is shinier (important!).

And don't forget that the new lump is about 40 pounds lighter than the old lump! I just love it!!

I thought the G5/C5 weighed more than the older bikes?

Nope ..... G5 has had some upgrades on the frame to enhance strength so it doesn't get the full benefit of the lightened engine (which, BTW, has stronger cases than the old ones due to pressure die casting!) but it is a little less affected by gravity .....

It looks like the C5 is listed at 412lbs and the Electra is listed at 370lbs?

I think the weight specs are suspect.

We have never weighed one. We get our data from RE in India.

Wet or curb weight ? Dry or shipping weight ?
No matter where you go, there, you are.

Yup.
I will not be keeping track of the costs of modifying my Iron Barrel engine to get it to perform like a stock U.C.E.
Nor do I expect it live as long either.

Reminds me of a skit...

BRIDGEKEEPER: What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
ARTHUR: What do you mean? An African or European swallow?
BRIDGEKEEPER: Huh? I-- I don't know that! Auuuuuuuugh!
