Recently installed CMW bar ends.  Is it just me or are they a tad bit more jittery than the standard mirrors.  They look great but function is ?  Have I missed something?

Yep, they're jittery. But I find that the vibration that transfers from the bike, through my butt and up my spine to my head matches the vibration in the mirrors, so it ends up appearing very sharp and clear.

It's the rest of the world that won't stop shaking so bad.

If you have too much air in the tires, they will be too hard and not absorb any bumps.

This is a good reason why Napoleons are a better choice;  they use rubber inserts.

I have one on another bike, I like the way it looks but they do virbrate a lot and mine tend to rotate some out of adjustment.

To be honest, bar-end mirrors are pretty useless.  They're not in the best place for safe viewing, they have to be moved inboard quite a lot to get the bike in and out of garages, gates, parking-spots etc., which alters their adjustment.  The vibrate and move out of alignment..........  The truth is that the mirrors which come with the bike - though lacking in style - are great mirrors from a functional/safety point of view.  If you change these mirrors for bar-end ones, you're changing from a better safety feature to a worse one.

I recently installed a pair of Ken Sean Racing bar-end mirrors.  Rubber mounting that goes into the handlebar.  Round head instead of rectangular with semi convex glass.  Only $25 with shipping and really do the job.  Much better than the Napoleons which now sit on the top shelf of the workbench in the garage.  Like them better than the stock Mickey Mouse ears.  Although those have found a home on wifeys' Electra.  Will.

I purchased a set of Napoleon bar ends that are manufactured in Japan, nice chrome, rubber mounted, no problems, rubber mounts act like dampers.

Blackwolf , Thanks for the suggestions and the cite for the Ken Sean AP bar ends.  Are these the rubber mounted jobs? and do they fit the stock bars on the Bullet easily?  The reason I ask is that Ken Sean has a mirror called an EVO that is reported as rubber mounted.

Yes they are rubber mounted so vibration is very low.  Great image while riding, very minimal distortion.  Much better than the Napoleons I had prior to them.  You could also check Flea-Bay to see if they are available.  Very good mirror for the money.  Will.

I recently installed CRG bar-end mirrors and they produce a crystal clear image. The mounting is an aluminum construction that goes inside the bar, but they don't vibrate or come out of adjustment on their own. They also don't protrude as far as the other bar-ends with larger stems.

That being said, their location is not ideal, as I have to take my eyes off the road to check them. The OEM mirrors are better functionally, but the CRG are a good compromise for looks and function.

They're expensive, but you can find discounts if you search ebay or shopping.google.com. I got my pair, with mounting brackets, for about $100. Normal retail would be about $200.
