I don't know why I'm still reading reviews of a bike that I've had since May.

I ride my Bullet as an everyday bike - my second-grader loves being dropped off at his school on the Bullet. And other than a couple of seat bolts and a loose speedometer cable (and the recall service), I haven't had any of the Enfield issues happen to me. Great bike!

I don't have a G5, but my C5 has been a fantastic daily rider. ;D
On the eighth day God created the C5, and it was better looking than anything on the planet.

Enfields are MEANT to be daily drivers! The article was pretty nice, too .... RE bikes are finally getting the respect that they deserve as good economical transportation - and gREat FUN, now that the market has softened up a bit for the $25K Super Glutto Master Cruisers with Bells, Whistles and Fringed Conchos ...... I have ALWAYS been a fan of medium to small displacement bikes to get around on and just have fun with - although I do about love 'em ALL.  ::) (It's a sickness that can only be cured with one more motorcycle .... )

I read that article recently.  I think the guy was fair.  Nice to see reviewers grade a bike on its own merit and not try to compare the bike to a modern offering and then say it doesn't stack up.

You are SO right about that! The Enfield can't really be compared to anything out there .... it's in a class all its own. The really neat thing is that most of these guys get PAID to pick stuff apart by the roots .... and they simply gave our beloved Enfield a fair shake - and it came out SMILES! Sometimes I really hate to like the "new-fangled" Enfield - but it is the best RE EVER .... and a really good bike by any standard. I gotta say that I'd sure ride one as a daily driver -  ;D
