I'll definately do the breather mod when I get in there...

Mike and Stumpy in Michigan
what breather mod? the "bypassing the oil can, running the line straight up and back with the inline valve" thing? this composite head gasket sounds good and i wouldn't want to miss anything while i'm that far.

Garbone,

An even simpler breather is to go 90 deg at top of oil tank and straight across to chain and end with a duckbill aimed aft.:
"Ennie" 2006 RE Bullet Classic 500 (currently undergoing a facelift)
Commuter Scooter Commuted to "Otherside"
"Geezer" 2007 Moto Guzzi Breva 750 died and reborn as yet, un-named, 2005 Moto Guzzi Breva 750,
and...the newest stablemate, also un-named, my crazy Russian 2015 Ural cT.

I had problems with the short short breather hose in cold weather (clogging with mayo every day) so I made a longer one.  You could still easily run it to the chain, and it's still just one hose, just longer to allow oil to run back down into the tank and may to get blown out.
