what with stopping every mile or two to look at the view.
The quality of light through thousands of dabs of whipped cream in the robins-egg-blue sky made everything just POP in 3-D.  Leaves are just beginning to change- showing some yellows and oranges amongst a wider array of greens.  The lower sun adds a hint of shadow all day that adds dimension to the hills, red barns and white farm houses.   Crisp air that makes a good leather jacket and gloves feel like I'm a small pod moving along in the ether of fall.    All this along the ridges, looking over the valleys with the blue mountains in the background scraping the clouds drifting slowly by...

Hope you all had a rough day, also.

Looked cold and soggy, and you hadn't gotten back yet, so I went the long way to the store.  Made a gallon and a half of chili today.  For some reason, Kathleen and Rosie love it (and I won't have to cook again for 3 or 4 days).   ;D
