I've got some new 4.00 x 19" tires on both the front and rear, but the 350 fender on the front rubs the tire. I'd like to try some 500 fender stays to see if they might raise the fender sufficiently. Could someone kindly post measurements of their front 500 fender stays using the labels below? (1, 2, 3)

1) 12.5"
2) 12.75"
3) 10.75"

Measured from screw hole to screw hole at the ends.

Here it is: A 500, with 350 front fender, with 500 fender stays. The only tweaking I had to do was straightening the ends of the stays. The 500's curl on the ends. So I just stuck the ends in a vice and bent them slightly so they were pointing straight up.

Also, you'll notice there's no middle fender stay. The 500 was too short and the 350 stay was too long - not by much, but enough that I couldn't drill a hole. I've got enough stability with the front and rear stays that I don't necessarily need the middle ones, but I may make one out of flat aluminum bar and paint it black.

Also, check out Ace's air cleaner!

Damn sexy bike.  Mine will look just like that only white with a black solo.  Might ditch the black solo for a tan solo.

Keeping the bench seat for 2 ups with the wife.

Hey what tires are those?  Those look to be perfect - flat enough for road but knobby enough for the occasional dip into gravel/dirt/thin snow!  I'd love to get my hands on that.

I really like the fender tire combo, that is one very sharp rig....

Br. Chris, you created your own WOWZAA!!!

That ACE percolator thingy (:D) looks a little naked.  This is especially the case when it sits between the gold tones of the side box and the fuel tank.  So, I respectfully suggest that, using your good taste, you put some kind of a gold tone bikini on Br. Ace's creation!

That's a good suggestion Cabo. Maybe an Enfield decal or pinstripe. I was waiting to get it powder coated.

Chris, I don't think you can powder coat that canister.
The canister body is not metal.
That's why I paint them.
But a little ornamentation would look good on it.
