This may be anathema, but has anyone tried mounting Pelican cases on the G5 or the Electra? I know it may not fit the style, but I'm trying to see if I can make the G5 an adventure-tourer! I've been inspired by a number of RE ride reports in India on the advrider.com forum.

What other kinds of panniers have people mounted on their Bullets?

Field worker,
 Just do it.

I can vouch for Pelican products being damn near indestructible. I have a super saber light that was run over by a fire engine and still works. I have had various models of their flash lights to a depth of 90 feet. I have beaten and abused their cases beyond belief. They have survived bumps, falls, slides, skids and throws while keeping the contents contained and dry.

If you want the 1550's to more closely match your bikes paint you can "flash" them with a propane torch and paint them .

The computer I am typing this on is sitting on a Pelican1660 right now.
No matter where you go, there, you are.
